Martin Johnson has stated that the toughest losses England faced under Steve Borthwick could prove valuable at the Rugby World Cup in Australia next year.

The Summer Nations series started with a defeat on the road to the reigning world champions, South Africa, but was followed by wins over Fiji and Argentina.
